This two-year, English-taught Master of Science prepares you for work in the international economic arena by combining rigorous theory with hands‑on empirical analysis. The programme trains you to independently evaluate and interpret data, derive policy-relevant recommendations from sound theoretical foundations, and tackle real‑world problems affecting the global economy. Its curriculum blends theoretical, institutional and empirical approaches so you can address contemporary economic issues with both breadth and depth.
You will study econometric, quantitative and experimental methods used to identify causal relationships and to answer concrete economic questions. Small class sizes and an international student body create an environment for close interaction, peer learning and sustained feedback. Emphasis is placed on assessing the validity and relevance of empirical studies, critically interpreting results, and choosing and applying the appropriate methods to draw well‑founded conclusions.
The programme’s high level of internationalisation helps you adopt a global perspective on economic action and equips you to formulate and communicate substantiated recommendations to diverse audiences. It also serves as a springboard for building human capital, professional networks and international experience—assets that are particularly valuable for careers in business, consulting or public policy.
