This MBA is delivered in the dynamic setting of Berlin, a city that combines headquarters of multinational companies with one of Europe’s most active start-up scenes. Teaching follows a problem-based, practice-oriented approach that emphasizes applied, practitioner methods. Classes bring together an international, intercultural and interdisciplinary mix of students and faculty, supported by the BAU Global Network, creating an academic environment focused on real-world business challenges.
The programme aims to equip global professionals from diverse backgrounds with sound managerial knowledge, practical tools and transferable skills, while helping them build useful professional networks. It sits within the iAccelerate network to support innovative and entrepreneurial projects, and offers a flexible, project-based focus that prepares students for both entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship. The curriculum also deliberately addresses the realities of emerging economies and their interplay with other markets, so graduates are ready to create value in changing business environments.
Key facts / admission highlights
This MBA emphasises hands-on learning and real-world engagement set against the dynamic backdrop of Berlin. Classes frequently include company visits, simulations and projects with external organisations (corporations and start-ups), as well as opportunities to explore the city’s business ecosystems. All instruction is delivered in English to prepare you for international careers and multicultural workplaces.
Teaching is delivered through a varied mix of formats — classical lectures, seminars, workshops, project work, computer-lab sessions and colloquia — using innovative methods designed to build core managerial competencies. The curriculum links modules in a contextual and chronological way so that theory and practice reinforce one another. Practical experiences and industry interactions help you develop applied skills in problem solving, teamwork, communication and strategic decision-making.
The programme offers two duration paths based on your prior higher-education credits: a one-year and a two-year option. Assessment is module-based throughout the programme in line with the institution’s study and examination regulations; the Master’s thesis is treated as the final capstone element. Overall, graduates can expect to leave with strengthened leadership capabilities and the practical tools needed for roles in international business environments.

Admission overview
The programme prefers applicants who hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field, but a relevant degree is not mandatory. If your undergraduate degree is in an unrelated subject, your CV must clearly demonstrate that you have independently built up business administration knowledge to a level equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (for example through targeted coursework, professional certifications, significant projects or responsibilities). In all cases you must have at least one year of continuous full‑time work experience after completing your Bachelor's — ideally with managerial responsibilities; if you started your own company, you will need to provide documented evidence of that activity.
To qualify for the academic title “Master of Business Administration” (300 ECTS requirement), applicants with a German‑equivalent three‑year Bachelor’s degree are normally admitted to the two‑year MBA track. Applicants whose Bachelor’s is equivalent to a four‑year degree will be advised by the faculty and may choose the one‑year MBA option. International applicants should also note the program’s language requirement and prepare the listed documents when applying.

Graduates leave prepared for managerial and leadership roles in corporations, start‑ups and international organisations, with practical skills in strategy, innovation and cross‑cultural management. The programme’s project focus and industry links help students build a professional network and develop entrepreneurial initiatives or intrapreneurial projects within established firms.
Because the MBA emphasises applied problem solving, intercultural competence and knowledge of emerging markets, alumni are positioned for roles that require both strategic thinking and hands‑on execution — for example product or project managers, business development managers, consultants and founders.
