Business environments are evolving rapidly, and leading effectively through digital transformation requires new management capabilities. This full‑time, English‑taught MBA in General Management prepares you to become a responsible leader and hands‑on manager in international corporations, consultancies, or innovative start‑ups. The programme combines up‑to‑date management theory with development of digital literacy, creativity, problem solving, resilience, leadership and intercultural skills so you can drive innovation and take informed risks in a fast‑changing world. Personal growth is central to the learning experience: you will be challenged to grow professionally and personally, supported by an internationally experienced faculty.
The curriculum is organised into three main phases to guide your development from fundamentals to individual specialisation. It begins with Welcome Weeks that build community through intercultural team activities, networking with peers across programmes, refreshers on core business topics, and an introduction to the Leipzig Leadership Model. The General Management Essentials phase establishes the programme’s three pillars — Management Fundamentals, Leadership & Reflection, and Entrepreneurship & Disruption — giving you a solid foundation for managerial roles. In the General Management Deep Dives (electives) you customise your studies around career goals with options such as Strategic Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Innovative Business, Decision Making, Competitiveness & Value Chains, Leadership and Advanced General Management.
In the advanced track you can further personalise the programme at no extra cost, choosing options that add practical or international experience. Available modules include a consulting project, a German language course, a lean start‑up seminar and an international study trip, all designed to enhance employability and global perspective while consolidating what you learn in class.
This MBA curriculum combines the program’s core business courses with optional German language instruction at basic, intermediate and business levels, so you can build management knowledge while improving language skills relevant for the German workplace. Classroom learning is complemented by organized company visits across several German cities, where you’ll observe real firms and business models that align with your professional interests and deepen your practical understanding of how companies operate in different sectors.
The program is offered full-time, and the same MBA curriculum is also available as a part-time option for students who need greater scheduling flexibility. Overall the design emphasizes applied learning, cross-cultural exposure, and the ability to translate theoretical frameworks into real-world business contexts.

Requirements / student expectations
This full-time MBA seeks candidates who combine academic preparation with meaningful professional experience. Applicants must hold a completed university degree and be able to demonstrate substantial work experience — the programme requires a minimum of three years. Standardized test performance is also part of the profile: a strong GMAT result is expected, with an explicit score threshold.
For international applicants, evidence of work experience typically includes employment contracts, detailed reference letters or similar documentation; check the programme’s guidance for which documents are acceptable. The GMAT Focus Edition is recognized with a specific equivalent score (see below). If you plan to submit GRE results instead, contact admissions to confirm the comparable score level and any conversion details.
