Overview This English-taught, practice-oriented master's responds to the major forces reshaping global business—digitalisation, globalisation, and climate change—by equipping students to help organisations adapt and stay competitive. You will build a broad foundation in strategic management while deepening your understanding of international corporate structures and the transformation processes organisations use to respond to complex, cross-border challenges.
The programme emphasises applied learning so you can translate theory into action: expect a curriculum designed to connect strategic frameworks with real-world business problems and change initiatives. Graduates emerge prepared to contribute to strategy development and transformation efforts within international companies and to address the urgent managerial questions driven by today’s economic trends. Studying in Berlin also gives international students access to a vibrant, global business scene and networking opportunities in a major European capital.
Admission checklist (next steps)
This MSc is delivered over four semesters and is designed to build a strong foundation in core business disciplines before allowing you to specialise. In the first two semesters you cover fundamental topics that prepare you for leadership and strategic roles in international organisations. Key compulsory modules include International & Global Management, Corporate Strategy, Leadership & Management, Advanced Project Management, Applied Strategic International Management, Managing Transformation & Change, Innovation Management & Design Thinking, and Quantitative & Qualitative Methods for Business.
In the third semester you personalise your profile by choosing from a range of electives that reflect important contemporary business themes. Options include Corporate Finance, Sustainability Management & CSR in a Global Context, International Relations & Current World Affairs, Consumer Behaviour & Psychology, and Strategic Marketing & Brand Management. If you prefer practical experience, you can substitute an elective with an internship or use the semester for study abroad to gain international exposure. The final (fourth) semester is devoted to completing your Master’s thesis.
Learning outcomes and career relevance: graduates will be equipped to think and act strategically in international contexts, lead and manage complex projects and change processes, apply innovation and design-thinking approaches, and use quantitative and qualitative research methods to inform decisions. Elective choices (or an internship/semester abroad) let you deepen expertise in finance, sustainability, international affairs, consumer insight or brand strategy, while the thesis demonstrates your ability to undertake independent, research-based problem solving.
