This English-taught Master of Science is designed to welcome students from any undergraduate background who want to move into business administration with an international and practice-oriented focus. It is particularly well suited to engineers, IT graduates, communications professionals and graduates from the humanities who want to add business expertise to their first degree. The programme is structured so you can combine your prior subject knowledge with core management training to create a distinctive professional profile.
Coursework covers key areas of modern business management, including business law, international marketing, production and procurement, and financial management. Alongside this subject knowledge, the programme emphasizes transferable skills—teamwork, communication, problem solving and cross-cultural competence—that employers value. For international students, the English delivery and practical orientation make it straightforward to apply concepts in global business contexts.
Graduates leave with a blend of specialist insight from their first degree and solid managerial capabilities, widening career options across industries and functions. The school was the first private German university of applied sciences to receive international AACSB accreditation — a mark of quality held by only about six percent of business schools worldwide, recognised for excellence in teaching, research and societal impact. Studying in Frankfurt also places you close to a major European financial and commercial hub, helpful for networking and career opportunities.
Requirements (based on program scope)
This MSc curriculum is spread across four semesters and combines foundational business theory with applied, practice-oriented modules. The first semester establishes core knowledge in business administration, financial reporting and taxation, and the quantitative tools needed for business decision-making, such as business mathematics and statistics. The second semester builds on this base with finance and investment theory, cost accounting, marketing, and insight into the operating environment and management of international enterprises.
In the third semester students focus on leadership and interpersonal capabilities, studying business ethics, communication and negotiation within international and diverse teams, and financial planning. This semester also offers elective choices and a consulting project that enables you to apply classroom theory to real company cases. The fourth semester is dedicated to the master’s thesis, which consolidates learning in a research or applied project.
Overall, the program emphasizes both technical competence (finance, accounting, quantitative methods, marketing) and transferable skills (leadership, cross-cultural communication, negotiation, ethical decision‑making), together with practical experience through a consulting project and a thesis.
