This English-language Master's programme develops a solid foundation in business and start-up development alongside specialised training in innovation management. You will deepen your understanding of international organisational and business development, while also gaining methodological expertise that supports strategic decision-making and change management across different company contexts.
The curriculum emphasises the full innovation cycle: from designing and implementing innovation processes to introducing them into organisations to drive new product and service development. You will also learn how to create and apply organisational knowledge-management measures that help companies capture, share and use expertise effectively.
Key competencies (what you will learn)
This three‑semester program combines hands‑on venture development with core business theory and intercultural practice. The backbone is a longitudinal Start‑Up Building Project carried across all three semesters, where teams iterate on a real business idea—from initial concept and customer discovery to product development, go‑to‑market planning and a final master’s deliverable. Alongside this practical track, you study foundational topics in entrepreneurship, innovation, marketing and company formation, with a dedicated mobility component to deepen cross‑cultural leadership and research skills.
The curriculum emphasizes applied learning and transferable outcomes: validating customer needs through research, designing and prototyping products or services, creating sustainable marketing strategies, and structuring a viable company (legal, organizational and operational considerations). Intercultural onboarding and a mobility‑focused leadership module cultivate global teamwork and research competencies, while elective modules let you tailor the degree to your interests. The program culminates in a master’s thesis that integrates academic research with your start‑up work or an innovation project.
This mix of project work, compulsory modules and mobility prepares graduates for founding startups, leading innovation units, or joining strategy and new‑business teams in established organizations — with practical experience in customer discovery, product development, sustainable marketing and company structuring.
Admission requirements
To qualify for this Master's programme you must hold a good or excellent undergraduate degree that was completed as a standard programme of study lasting at least seven semesters or that amounts to at least 210 credits. The programme expects a solid academic background consistent with those durations or credit totals.
If your bachelor’s degree falls short of 210 credits but includes at least 180 credits, you are still eligible. In that case you will be able to make up the missing 30 credits by taking one additional semester of undergraduate coursework before the Master's programme begins.
