Program overview You will be prepared for management roles in international companies, with a curriculum that covers change management in cross-border settings, digital tools for business, and methods for analysing large data sets. The course includes a practical consulting project and modules on international sales strategies, and allows you to choose two electives to tailor the degree to your interests. The programme is taught in English and brings together students from a wide range of countries, giving you hands-on experience working in intercultural teams.
What you'll gain The programme combines contemporary management topics and applied projects to ready you for an international career. You will develop skills in digital business analytics, change management across cultures, and client-focused consulting. Working alongside a global student cohort will strengthen your intercultural communication and teamwork—key assets for multinational roles.
International experience and location In the third semester you can either spend time at one of OTH Regensburg’s more than 60 partner universities or do an international internship while completing your master’s thesis, providing strong options for building global networks. The university is based in Regensburg, a student-friendly city whose medieval old town was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2006. Regensburg also has a strong local economy with many national and international companies nearby, which can be useful for internships, networking and post-graduate job hunting.

This three-semester Master's programme focuses on international business within a strongly digital context. In the first semester you build a foundation in core business disciplines with an emphasis on global markets and digital tools. Core modules include Applied Economics and International Economic Policy to ground your understanding of macro- and micro-level forces, alongside Digital Business Analytics and Digital Business Innovation to develop data-driven and tech-enabled management capabilities. Practical commercial topics such as International Sales and International Supply Chain Management round out the semester.
The second semester moves toward practice and teamwork through project-based learning. You will work on International Strategy and International Leadership Skills while studying Fundamentals in Sustainable Management, and you will take part in a Consulting Project that simulates real-world client work. Two elective modules let you tailor the programme to your interests and career goals, whether that is deeper analytical training, sustainability, or leadership.
In the final semester you complete an independent research project: the Master’s thesis. Support for this is provided through a Master’s Thesis Seminar, and successful completion requires both a written thesis and an oral presentation. This semester also offers flexibility to gain international exposure—students can study abroad or take up an internship with an international company to strengthen practical experience and enhance employability.
This programme expects applicants to hold a relevant undergraduate degree and to demonstrate strong academic performance. Degrees should normally represent around 210 ECTS, with a minimum of 180 ECTS accepted. Candidates who meet the formal academic criteria will be invited to an oral aptitude test (held online) that evaluates core knowledge areas for the Master's. Certain high-achieving graduates are exempt from that test.
