This English-taught, full-time master’s programme is offered within the International Study Programme (ISP) and leads to a Master of Science (MSc) after a minimum of four semesters (minimum duration: two years). The curriculum gives a deep grounding in concepts and analytical methods across international management, marketing, and entrepreneurship, combining quantitative management tools, strategic planning and psychological perspectives. It is designed to prepare graduates for knowledge-based roles at upper and top management levels in multinational corporations and other organisations.
Students can concentrate on one of three interlinked areas:
The programme places strong emphasis on quantitative reasoning and analytical rigor alongside strategic and behavioural perspectives. It is suitable for students aiming at strategic, analytical or leadership roles in international business environments. For full details on application procedures, course structure and tuition, consult the ISP website.

Overview
This master’s program combines core courses, elective specialization, and an independent research component to build advanced managerial, analytical, and marketing skills for international contexts. Core modules—International Corporate Strategy, Business Decision-Making, and Marketing Methods and Analysis—establish a foundation in strategic thinking, quantitative decision tools, and marketing research techniques. Teaching is delivered through lectures (concept introduction), tutorials (discussion and skills practice), and seminars (application of theories to a scientific project), culminating in a written master’s thesis and an oral seminar presentation.
Key modules and learning outcomes
Structure, workload and student support
Students should expect roughly 20 hours per week of classroom contact plus at least 20 hours of independent study. The programme is primarily theoretical and analytically oriented; candidates must show they can work independently on a chosen topic using scientific methods. Note the semester sequencing: students starting in the summer semester begin with the second-semester modules and then take first-semester modules the following term. Lectures are offered only in their designated semester (winter or summer) as set out in the programme timetable. Academic advisors from the faculty are available to support students throughout the course.
Requirements (concise)
This master’s programme requires a completed Bachelor's degree from a university recognised in Germany and an academic performance within the specified German grading range. The degree must be in a relevant field and include a defined minimum number of credits in core subjects such as economics, business administration and quantitative methods (for example advanced mathematics or statistics). Detailed criteria and supporting-document requirements are provided on the programme website (see IMME Details, Requirements).
You will also need to demonstrate strong English language ability and submit a motivation letter as part of the application. The programme admits students through a competitive selection process: it is a limited‑places programme (NC — numerus clausus), so offers of admission are issued only after applicants have passed the selection procedure.
Winter Semester (International)
15 June 2026
Summer Semester (International)
15 December 2026
The programme prepares graduates for knowledge-based management roles in multinational corporations and organisations, particularly in areas such as strategic management, internationalisation, innovation management, marketing analytics, and entrepreneurial venture creation. Its emphasis on analytical mathematics, statistics and decision-making equips students for data-driven positions such as strategy consultant, product/brand manager, market analyst, or roles in corporate innovation teams.
Graduates interested in entrepreneurship will gain skills for business model generation and start-up formation, while the international and exchange opportunities support careers that involve cross-cultural management and international business development. The programme’s theoretical and analytical training also provides a solid foundation for further research or doctoral studies in business-related fields.
