Curriculum
Flexible, practice-oriented delivery
Key facts / requirements
This part-time, 90 ECTS master's is structured across four semesters for professionals who need a flexible schedule. The programme is delivered mainly online, allowing you to study from anywhere and at times that fit your work commitments. Learning activities are coordinated through the Moodle learning management system and combine recorded e-lectures, web-based trainings and live virtual collaboration.
The first three semesters (20 ECTS each) consist of 5‑ECTS modules focused on the intersection of management and information systems. Semester 1 covers foundations such as International Management, International Economics, Management Accounting & Finance, and Business Informatics & Information Management. Semester 2 emphasises operational and innovation topics: Business Process Management, Corporate Entrepreneurship & Innovation, E‑Business & Digital Transformation, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). Semester 3 develops market-facing and decision-support skills through Business Marketing Management, Leadership & Change Management, Business Intelligence and Information Management.
Two short on-campus phases complement the online work: an introductory week at the start (designed for networking and practical sessions) and a one-week summer camp in semester three that includes a research methods seminar and intensive group work — both offer a virtual attendance option. The fourth semester (30 ECTS) is dedicated to the master’s project: a Digital Product & Project Management module (5 ECTS), the Master’s thesis (21 ECTS) — which may be carried out in cooperation with your employer to address a real-world challenge — and a Colloquium (4 ECTS) as the final oral defence. Assessment is portfolio-based throughout the programme, so there is no separate on-campus examination period.
