Program overview
This consecutive MSc is designed for graduates of business or related bachelor’s degrees who want to specialise in entrepreneurship and corporate venturing. The curriculum trains you to strategically develop, scale and implement digital business models and start-ups, equipping you to launch new ventures, support innovation in family businesses, or lead innovation management in established companies.
What you will study and experience
The programme combines theory and hands-on practice, covering key areas such as strategy and growth (designing and managing innovative business models and digital products), corporate venturing (creating entrepreneurial initiatives inside existing organisations), quantitative data analysis and controlling (data-driven process and performance optimisation), innovation and technology transfer (turning research into marketable solutions), and intercultural competence for global teamwork. You will benefit from close links to industry and international partners and can expect practical options such as developing your own digital business concept, writing your master’s thesis in collaboration with companies or start-ups, and participating in international programmes, summer schools or exchange stays at partner universities.
Who this is for and career prospects
The programme is aimed at students who want to raise their entrepreneurial skills and who are interested in innovation, digitalisation and business model development. Graduates are prepared for roles as founders, in management consulting, or in innovation and corporate venture functions. The faculty’s international orientation and practical network support career development and cross-border collaboration. The business school is AACSB-accredited — the first of its kind in Bavaria — a recognition held by roughly six percent of business schools worldwide, which underscores the programme’s quality and global connections.
Entry profile / requirements (typical)
This full-time Master’s programme is taught entirely in English and runs over three semesters. The first two semesters are dedicated to taught coursework, while the third semester is reserved for completing a Master’s thesis and attending one additional lecture. The curriculum is organised around several interrelated subject areas; a diagram (provided in the original materials) shows the individual modules in detail.
The academic content is grouped into four main thematic areas—Entrepreneurship, Corporate Venturing, Business Analytics, and AI & Smart Data Science—so students gain both business and data-driven perspectives on creating and scaling ventures within startups and established firms.
